How your photos and facial information are used when you create a DJ that looks like you.

What we process

The photos of yourself you upload for your Face Profile (front, left and right), the AI photos and video made from them, and the results of automated checks.

Purpose

Only to create the DJ likeness you requested, check that the result is usable and resembles your reference photos, and make the performance video from the photo you choose.

Which providers receive your photos

Google (Gemini API) receives your three Face Profile photos to create your DJ photo options. If you add your own venue, it also receives your venue photos.

Runway receives only the generated DJ photo you chose, to make the performance video. It does not receive your Face Profile photos.

Fictional HeeyDJ-world DJs never use your face.

Automated checks

On our own servers, a face-comparison model computes a temporary numerical comparison between your front photo and each generated option. It exists only in memory and is never stored. This check does not verify legal identity.

Private storage

Photos are kept in private storage, never public. Files are shared with a provider only through short-lived private links.

No sale of face data

We never sell your face data and do not use it for advertising.

Retention

Face Profile photos are kept while your Face Profile exists so you can create again, and are deleted when you delete them, withdraw consent or delete your account. Venue photos are removed automatically after 7 days. Generated photos and videos stay until you delete the DJ or your account.

Provider-side retention follows each provider's terms; we request the shortest available option.

International transfers

Google and Runway may process your photos outside the EU/EEA or UK, including in the United States, under recognised safeguards.

Risks

AI likenesses can be misused if shared. Share generated media responsibly; every export keeps a visible AI-generated label.

Withdrawal, deletion and rights

In Account → Privacy you can view and withdraw your consent, delete reference photos, delete a personal DJ with its media, request a copy of your data, or report misuse. You may complain to a supervisory authority.
